Ronald Kim, 7th NY-21 candidate, announces bid to challenge Stefanik

Make that seven challengers to U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik.

Ronald Kim, a Queensbury attorney and former Saratoga Springs public safety commissioner, said Monday he plans to take on the two-term Republican congresswoman from Essex County, drawing from a local-level political experience and spurred by what he says is a lack of representation from Stefanik.

Kim is the sixth Democrat to declare a bid for the 21st Congressional District seat. A St. Lawrence County Republican also is taking on Stefanik.
